We have just recently purchased two more cows. We will call them Big Momma’s friends. One is a white cow and her name is Daisy. The other is a black Angus and her name is Dallas. Our youngest daughter names the cows. I don’t know why, but she does.
I have renamed Dallas. She has an attitude just like Big Momma. She tries to show her way around the farm. I have given her the name Litl Momma. She even looks like Big Momma.
For those of you just joining my blogs. We purchased a few cows last year. Sold all but one, which is Big Momma. She has ran off, tried to corner my husband, chases us when we are carrying the bale of hay and she is hungry, won’t listen sometimes and has an attitude problem. My attire is casual dressy. If that makes sense. I have had to take care of farm business in my work clothes. Nice. Huh. Oh yeah, dress shoes and a nice outfit out in the middle of the barn yard.
We have also purchased a trailer to haul cattle. This past weekend we drove into Broadway, Va. to look at the John Deere tractors and hay balers. Our youngest is the farm girl, she thinks she wants a John Deere. We are really getting into this. My husband says “When you do something, do it right.”
A friend told us the other day my husband now needs a license plate on the front of his truck that reads, “Wanna Be Farmer”. We’ll see in about another year if he is a “Wanna Be” or turned out “To Be”.
